Where is the world going?? Who knows?! God does!! And He’s preparing us right now to share His extreme grace and radical truth with that world in ways that connect and convict — even as He is transforming us into the church that truly represents Christ. Picturing ourselves completely dependent on Him, vitally engaged with that world, joyfully moving on this mission, as the church that fulfills Christ’s call at all costs … is our vision. This Conference claims that future and clarifies this vision in the hope of inspiring the unshakable confidence and unrelenting commitment we need.
DC9 will focus on the great frontier of the future (already breaking in!) and the church’s challenge to anticipate the openings — which forces us to get honest with ourselves, discern the times, relinquish lesser priorities and trust His provision. Our two incredible keynote speakers will explain the Scripture and illustrate the coming Kingdom already at work in our world. The worship will compel our devotion. The conversations with other Christians from other places will encourage our hearts.
There are different group rates available. The best deal is the church rate. If this seems timely and appealing, I want to encourage you to send in your deposit for the conference as soon as you can. In addition to the special church rate ($1K for up to 30 participants … the lunch served on site on Saturday costs $10/person), we are inviting pastors who are bringing any size group to join us for a dinner at Hope Center with keynote speaker Michael Frost (and others) on the Thursday night, May 7, just before the conference begins. We are also inviting our Vocari marketplace ministry and Fuller Seminary sponsors to join us. There is no charge for this dinner. The evening will be an intimate prelude to the excitement of the weekend. – Doug Stevens

GOD has raised up Ken Kong as a national leader within the second generation of Southeast Asian Americans. He is director of the Southeast Asian Leadership Summits, which are national conferences for SE Asian American ministry leaders. He is a youth minister at a Cambodian church. He is on staff with The Navigators focusing on Southeast Asian ministries. Ken will give a report of what GOD is doing in the Southeast Asian communities of the U.S., and he will give his assessment of what needs to be done, as well as the burdens GOD has revealed for the future.

The East Bay has a host of various Southeast Asian groups which includes: Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians, Burmese, Thais, Mienh, Khmu and Filipinos. These groups have only been in the United States with the exception of the Filipino, for no longer than 30 years. Park Boulevard is at the center of it all.
